Need something easy, delicious and Gluten Free?
Here is an easy recipe to use with our easy to make Buddha Bread Rolls. You can make this for a weekday dinner, or when having guests. Either way, its easy and delicious.
Serves 6- Slow Cooker Italian Beef Sandwiches
3lb chuck roast trimmed of fat and cut into large chuncks.
1 1/2 teaspoons garlic powder (not garlic salt)
1 tablespoon onion powder (not onion salt)
2 tablespoons ground dried oregano
1 tablespoon dried parsley.
1 teaspoon ground basil
1/4 teaspoon ground thyme
1/2 teaspoon dried celery flakes
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
**(You can use 1 envelope of Good Seasons Zesty Italian salad dressing mix but it is NOT gluten free)
8oz Pepperoncini peppers or slices and its juice. (save a little for serving.)
8oz of Organic Beef Broth
One 6 roll bag of Buddha Bread Rolls.
1. Place chuck roast in to your crock pot and sprinkle the spices (or Zesty Italian dressing mix). Add 3/4 of pepperoncini juice and 1/2 of the peppers (saving some for serving). Add beef broth. Give it a little stir to make sure all is blended. Place lid on, and cook for 9 hours on low.
2. When ready to serve, open your Buddha Bread rolls bag and place in the oven without pre-heating it or thawing out the rolls. Bake at 400 degrees for about 20min (until golden brown).
3. Cut rolls in half; shred meat mixture and place on top with some of the peppers. Splash a little more of the pepperoncini juice if you wish and serve with a nice cold drink.
